Was there a point in your life when you realized you were no longer in control? Aimlessly working without the drive to achieve something great?

I, Cornelius Quiring, reached that point last year when a client insisted on blatantly ripping off another site whilst we fussed over shades of red accents. Not only was there no pride in what I was creating, I had let my contribution devolve to being a grunt.

I actively questioned myself and realized I want to create great things, without compromise. I want to pour that passion into a project combining my love for fashion & design with the spirit of motorcycle culture.

The Lilyboys shirts are the first result. They are an ultra soft bamboo and cotton blend manufactured by a Canadian company investing in their employees. The graphics aren’t self serving to Lilyboys either. I won’t slap the logo on a shirt and sell it. Rather, I want the art to be visually appealing and speak to the qualities embodied by motorcycle culture.

Keeping a cool head

ThermaHelm™ is a revolutionary brain cooling helmet technology that could save your life.

This is an interesting piece of technology and totally makes sense. Head injuries occur in 80% of all motorcyclist fatalities. A key factor in these injuries is brain swelling inside the helmet and the response time to address the issue. ThermaHelm™ technology helps to mitigate this problem by cooling the rider’s head post-accident.

A standard helmet acts like an insulator. The polystyrene foam (also used for insulation in the housing industry) can be found in ALL motorcycle helmets, and is the same white foam that is installed in the walls of ALL refrigerators and portable coolers. It’s the perfect energy absorber…and insulator. The helmet acts like an oven to an already hot, sweaty head causing post accident brain temperatures to potentially reach a fatal threshold. This is how motorcycle riders can die.

ThermaHelm™ technology works by triggering an endothermic chemical reaction inside the helmet lining at the moment of impact. The helmet immediately cools the motorcyclists head, keeping it cold even before the emergency services could have been called.

The technology is fitted to the very best existing motorcycle helmets that have passed stringent safety tests.
